Strawberry Crunch Topping

A perfect mix of strawberry and vanilla crumbs that will take any dessert to the next level.

Get ready to top all of your desserts with this strawberry crunch recipe! Use it to coat chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes or even ice cream sundaes. The vanilla crumb in this recipe balances out the tartness of the strawberry jello. The topping will keep for up to 1 week in your fridge, but it probably won't last that long!





Strawberry Crunch Topping


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  • 3 oz vanilla jello

  • 3 oz strawberry jello

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In one bowl add the vanilla jello packet, half the butter, and 1/4 cup of flour. Use a fork to combine the ingredients into a paste like mix.

  3. In a separate bowl, repeat step 2 with the strawberry jello packet and remaining ingredients.

  4. Press both mixtures onto the lined baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 6-8 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

  7. Place the mixture in a ziplock bag and freeze for 1 hour.

  8. Remove from freezer and use a food processor or blender to create a crumb topping.

  9. Sprinkle on your favorite desserts!
